About Us

What is this?

We are a grassroots web site that encourages the discussion and reflection of serving teens through library services. We enjoy sharing the excitement of teen library services and also the random program ideas that pop into our heads, stories about the awesome interactions we have with teens, and issues we find relevant. For the most part, we enjoy serving teens and need a place where we can digress, argue, and share our passions without the worry of being hushed or dismissed.

We are alternative teen services! Do you have an alternative to discuss? Are you overly excited about serving teens? Do you want to make an incognito rant about the day job? E-mail Stephanie and start blogging for the site today (see below for details).

How do I get involved?

We are always looking for new voices! Send an e-mail to teenservices@yalibrarian.com to find out how you can get started as an active blogger or even as an occasional contributer.
